SMARTS No Word Theater, Grades K-3

SMARTS No Word Theater, Grades K-3

Think: black and white television, 1920’s style theater with actors like Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, and Buster Keaton. During this era movies were silent and there was no dialogue, no words! Actors relied on exaggerated body language and facial expressions to communicate their emotions and drive the story. In this class we will watch old movie clips and study the emotions of the actors, then follow and dissect the scenes to learn and guide us in the creation of our own skits!
