SMARTS Artists in Action
Artist in Residence (AIR)
SMARTS Artist in Residency is part of the invitation to our community to make art and to make art accessible. A residency is when SMARTS enables a guest artist to work in a new environment, often away from the restrictions and pressures of their everyday lives. Artist residencies are about providing the time and space for a guest artist to develop work and creatively explore new ideas.
To invigorate an exchange of ideas, we will provide professional development and networking opportunities for both visiting artists and our community. We will cultivate relationships with other artists and exchange opportunities with other arts organizations. We encourage experimentation and facilitate exchange across art forms with teaching and learning the arts.
Arts in Non-Arts Spaces
By creating arts experiences for the community, we offer a chance to delight, surprise, and enhance the environment of non-traditional arts spaces. Whether it’s watching a public mural being painted on a school wall or listening to music in a lobby, SMARTS works with community partners to design a truly unique art experience.
Hand-Drumming
All of the modules and layouts included with the Page Builder are fully responsive and look gorgeous on phones and tablets.
Visual Art
Visually create stunning pages on the frontend of WordPress with the Page Builder’s intuitive drag and drop system.
Dance
Everything we create is built with simplicity in mind. We’ve done our best to only include the customization options you need.
